Kosovo’s Interior Minister, Xhelal Sve\u00e7la, said on Sunday that his country has gathered evidence proving that Serbia tried to annex north of Kosovo and that the attackers were prepared at Serbian military bases inside Serbia.<\/p>\n
Kosovo Police was attacked by an armed Serb group in the village of Banjsk\u00e9, in the municipality of Zve\u00e7an on September 24, where Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was killed.<\/span><\/p>\n Sve\u00e7la said during a media conference on Sunday south of Mitrovica that over 90 people participated in the attack against the Kosovo Police.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cSerbia repeatedly tried to say that it has nothing to do with this attack, but the facts that will be published prove that the preparations, training and exercises of this group were carried out at the military training base near Jagodina as well as in Kopaunik. These images were provided by the drones of the terrorist group that we have confiscated,” Sve\u00e7la said on Sunday.<\/span><\/p>\n General Director of the Kosovo Police, Gazmend Hoxha, said that the group that carried out the attack in Banjska had been trained for a long time in the military bases of the Serbian army.<\/span><\/p>\n “The plan of [the attackers] was a total plan for the annexation of the north of Kosovo. In the documents we have, which we cannot share with you now, there is a plan for the annexation of the north foreseen in the initial phase in 37 positions, from where our police units would be attacked, not only in Banjska and Zve\u00e7an but in all the northern parts, and then the creation of a free corridor for Serbia and other supplies of people, materials, experts and other supplies necessary for an armed resistance and for the creation of a new reality in the country”, said Hoxha.<\/span><\/p>\n On Friday, Millan Radoji\u010di\u010d took responsibility for this attack, and resigned from the post of vice president of Serb List – the largest party of Serbs in Kosovo, which has the support of the Serbian Government.<\/span><\/p>\n Serbia has denied Kosovo’s accusations that it was involved in this attack, described as a terrorist attack by the Kosovar authorities.<\/span><\/p>\n Three suspected attackers have been arrested and are being held in custody in Pristina.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Kosovo’s Interior Minister, Xhelal Sve\u00e7la, said on Sunday that his country has gathered evidence proving that Serbia tried to annex north of Kosovo and that the attackers were prepared at Serbian military bases inside Serbia.
