Serbia\u2019s President Aleksandar Vu\u010di\u0107 has declared that authorities will file charges against Milan Radoji\u010di\u0107 once ongoing investigations are finalized.<\/p>\n
Vu\u010di\u0107 made this announcement during a visit to a medical institute in Belgrade on October 11, revealing that Radoji\u010di\u0107 is under investigation for serious crimes, which he has reportedly admitted to.<\/p>\n
Vu\u010di\u0107 stressed that the investigation would continue, culminating in formal charges. The objective of these proceedings is to determine the origins of the money and illegal weapons used in the crimes, which is seen as an international obligation for Serbia.<\/p>\n
Additionally, President Vu\u010di\u0107 stated that both military and civilian authorities are actively scrutinizing the circumstances surrounding the violent events in Banjska. He reassured the public that the findings of the investigation will be disclosed once it is complete.<\/p>\n
The incident in question occurred on September 24 when an armed group of Serbs attacked Kosovo Police in Banjska, Zvecan. This resulted in the tragic death of police officer Afrim Bunjaku, along with the loss of three of the assailants\u2019 lives.<\/p>\n
Milan Radoji\u010di\u0107, the former deputy leader of the Serb List, the primary political party representing Kosovo Serbs with official support from Belgrade, took responsibility for masterminding the attack.<\/p>\n
Kosovo swiftly accused Serbia of involvement in the attack, but Belgrade vehemently denied any connection.<\/p>\n
At present, Kosovo and Serbia are conducting separate investigations into the incident.<\/p>\n
In response to inquiries from journalists, President Vu\u010di\u0107 confirmed that representatives from the QUINT states will be arriving in Serbia on October 21.<\/p>\n
In ten days, the EU\u2019s special representative for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Laj\u010d\u00e1k, along with representatives from the governments of the United States, France, Germany, and the Prime Minister of Italy, as well as Gabriel Escobar, Emmanuel Bonn, Jens Plotner, and Francesco Talo, will be in Belgrade.<\/p>\n
