Compared to 2022, there are 1.6 million megawatts more, generated thanks to the good climate situation with the rains that fell at the end of 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Drini\u2019s Cascade, which is managed by Albanian Electricity Corporation (KESH), has been the main source of production with more than 60% of the amount, while private Hydroelectric Power Plants and alternative sources produced 40 percent.<\/p>\n<p>What is noticed in the first 8 months is the minimization of network losses. In this period, the wasted energy was at the level of 19%.<\/p>\n<p>Fierza captured historical maximum quotas, at stable levels above 290 meters for the entire part of the year, the energy produced managed to cover domestic needs, eliminating purchases abroad.<\/p>\n<p>However, this situation started to reverse after September, where KESH is buying in the foreign market, and with the current quantity and prices, it is spending about 5 million euros per week.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the first 8 months of this year, the energy produced in the country reached 6.2 million megawatts.
