Edi Rama has not yet made the decision on whether he will seek a fourth mandate as Prime Minister of Albania.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have never thought about the next mandate; I only think about what I need to do in the current mandate. I don\u2019t make these decisions beforehand because life has taught me, sometimes the hard way and sometimes with generosity, that it\u2019s better to have a vision and a destination but to plan and work step by step. You never know with these things that are happening. But even without anything happening, you still don\u2019t know,\u201d Rama told journalist Alice Taylor on the \u201cInside Albania\u201d podcast.<\/p>\n
When further asked by the journalist if he intends to engage in foreign politics after finishing his third term as Prime Minister and after some successes that Albania has achieved on the international stage, Rama expressed himself as follows.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe fact that the comments about the Russian delegation at the UN went viral was a matter of luck. The topic was very important for everyone. Albania would never have appeared in all global media in any other way. It was fantastic for the country, for the name of Albania. When I started this journey, I didn\u2019t have all my hairs, but I had a few white hairs. Now, as you can see, it\u2019s impossible to find a single black thread on my head or face. Every day that passes, I get in a bigger debt with my family, my children, my friends. There is life beyond politics\u201d.<\/p>\n
When asked about his plans after retiring from politics, Rama revealed some interesting details.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want to be the third version of Edi Rama. I was once a sportsman and an artist. The third version will be something completely different. I have some ideas, but it won\u2019t be daily politics, nothing like that. I think it\u2019s time. I hope and expect to have the time to do something again that will involve people, but it will be entirely different from this profile,\u201d Rama concluded.<\/p>\n
