As a result, it has become vital to protect and pass down the knowledge and traditions associated with these costumes.<\/p>\n<p>Continuing their project to showcase northern regional attire to the public, the Regional Directorate of Cultural Heritage in Shkodra (DRTK Shkod\u00ebr) presents a collection of garments from the Luma region. These costumes are known for their exquisite beauty, elegant designs, and vibrant color combinations.<\/p>\n<p>In one of the shared photographs on social media, DRTK Shkod\u00ebr highlights a waistcoat that has been diligently preserved by the Do\u00e7i family. This waistcoat was handcrafted in 1935 as part of the wedding preparations for a family member.<\/p>\n<p>It contains elements of the traditional Luma costume and is kept with great care in the village of Nanga by the same family.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-62315\" src=\"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"368\" srcset=\"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/1.jpg 600w, https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/1-300x184.jpg 300w, https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/1-150x92.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The second image showcases the back of the Luma waistcoat, offering a glimpse into the 20<sup>th<\/sup>-century fashion of the region.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-62312 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"385\" srcset=\"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/2.jpg 600w, https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/2-300x193.jpg 300w, https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/2-150x96.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The collection also includes some Luma socks crafted in the village of Vila. These socks were made during wedding preparations in the Hasa family and have been passed down to the current generation. They were expertly created using wool from the native Ruda sheep, which is a 100% Kuk\u00ebs and Dib\u00ebr breed.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-62313\" src=\"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"460\" height=\"296\" srcset=\"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/3.jpg 460w, https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/3-300x193.jpg 300w, https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/3-150x97.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 460px) 100vw, 460px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In addition to these traditional garments, DRTK Shkod\u00ebr introduces a unique musical instrument called the \u201cdahire\u201d from the Kuk\u00ebs region.
