The Albanian Government is taking measures to provide Albanian repatriates returning from EU countries with new opportunities for employment and vocational education.<\/p>\n
The Ministry of Interior has revealed its plans through a draft decision released for public consultation, focusing on encouraging legal migration by strengthening international cooperation.<\/p>\n
The key objective of this strategy is to facilitate the voluntary return and reintegration of those who had previously migrated to EU countries while also cracking down on irregular entries of foreign nationals into Albania. The reintegration support for returnees from emigration will be tailored to address their specific needs and challenges effectively.<\/p>\n
The initial phase of this initiative involves information campaigns targeted at Albanian emigrants to inform them about employment prospects in Albania. Additionally, it entails the publication of the addresses of migration service offices in employment and municipal offices where they can seek assistance and services.<\/p>\n
This project underscores the importance of developing effective migration policies for employment purposes, emphasizing their positive impact on Albania\u2019s national and local socio-economic development.<\/p>\n
\u201cThrough concrete measures, we aim to enhance institutional, financial, banking, and fiscal mechanisms by 2026, fostering formal channels for remittances and encouraging their use as sources for investment and development. Furthermore, a crackdown on informality, especially in the labor market, will help deter irregular emigration\u201d.<\/p>\n
The project envisions the signing of cooperation agreements between entities implementing reintegration agreements and those providing employment services, vocational training, economic assistance, and social support. This collaborative effort aims to guide returned individuals toward the required services.<\/p>\n
The overarching goal of the strategy is to prevent irregular immigration by foreign nationals into Albania.<\/p>\n
The increasing number of foreigners entering and residing in Albania for various reasons has necessitated closer collaboration between responsible institutions to assess policies, programs, and the institutional framework for immigrants\u2019 access to services.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, the project will establish a detailed framework to evaluate the status of ratified conventions and their influence on securing the rights of immigrants.<\/p>\n
The estimated total cost for implementing the Migration Action Plan for 2024-2030 for the initial 3-year period is approximately 727.9 million Albanian lek, which equates to around 6.6 million euros.<\/p>\n
For the medium-term period of 2024-2026, the budgeted expenses of responsible institutions amount to approximately 391.8 million Albanian lek, as planned in the annual budget and the Medium-Term Budget Program for 2024-2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
