Prime Minister Edi Rama was this Wednesday at the Diaspora Summit held at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana.<\/p>\n
Prime Minister Rama said in his speech that it is the first time in the 111 years of existence of the Albanian state that Arb\u00ebria and the Arb\u00ebresh\u00eb are not just a presence to add to a folklore panorama, but are present here through their representatives.<\/p>\n
He also said that efforts are being made to achieve a twinning of Albanian municipalities with Arb\u00ebresh\u00eb municipalities so in this way the cooperation between them can become greater.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy work has taken me to many countries and many different cultures, but the excitement of visiting Arb\u00ebresh\u00eb has remained in a special memory shelf like those wonderful miniature books. I have indelible impressions of the small square of the first town where we landed, the dances and songs of the Arb\u00ebresh\u00eb children who welcomed us and the passion and concern for the language they expressed to us in all the meetings.<\/p>\n
There was the place where the idea of \u200b\u200bthis special Arb\u00ebresh\u00eb day was born and for the first time in the 111 years of existence of the Albanian state that Arb\u00ebria and the Arb\u00ebresh are not just a presence to add to a folklore panorama, but are present here through their representatives and through this joint effort to place a stone on a path that we must continue together.<\/p>\n
Although the Arb\u00ebresh\u00eb people have been completely integrated into the great Italian community, all the benefits of that community have not wasted the power of that trust which is being challenged not by the negligence of the Arb\u00ebresh people, but from the time which is bringing many fortunes of a demographic nature for everyone and at the same time it is bringing unimaginable news for children, who are turning into a world concern for language, and no longer for a language like the Arb\u00ebr language.<\/p>\n
We have decided to open this process with the municipalities of Arb\u00ebresh that wants to continue with a twinning of all our pools with all the municipalities of Arb\u00ebresh\u00eb, we are more or less with approximate numbers, we have a little more. We will build a special program supported by the government for municipalities to give life to this twinning and turn it into a bridge to create opportunities for continuous communication between the Arb\u00ebresh community and Albania,\u201d said Albanian Prime Minister.<\/p>\n
