\u201cToday we begin this historic day by honoring a figure and a family as historical as the red and black flag itself, the Jashari family, while marking the birthday of the legendary commander, Adem Jashari, and the first public appearance of our liberation army on November 28, 1997. It is precisely the red and black flag and the date of November 28 that reminds each of us of the high price of freedom, but at the same time, the sacrifices that have been made for centuries so that we can live freely,\u201d said Osmani.<\/p>\n
On November 28, Albania marks the 111th<\/sup> anniversary of the declaration of independence in Vlora.<\/p>\n In homage at the memorial complex in Prekaz, along with Osmani, was also the Speaker of the Parliament, Glauk Konjufca.<\/p>\n He said that the celebration of November 28 always begins in Prekaz, where on March 5, 6, and 7, 1998, Serbian forces attacked the Jashari family, leaving over 50 members of this family dead.<\/p>\n \u201cNovember 28 in Kosovo always begins in Prekaz, where the highest sacrifice of the people of Kosovo for freedom has occurred and where the glorious war of the Kosovo Liberation Army has been conceived.
