The Museum of Tradition or otherwise the Museum of Naim Frash\u00ebri, is a cultural and ethnographic evidence of Saranda and its surroundings.<\/p>\n

Saranda is a country that has different communities, there are Orthodox and Muslim communities so that its provinces are well connected, and intertwined with their costumes. Each province has a first, second, or third costume designer.<\/p>\n

Everyday items, women’s work, rugs, southern clothing, dowry chests and even mahogany chests are all on display for the public at this museum.<\/p>\n

“The second floor has the cultural tradition, we have the costume design of the surroundings of Saranda, the costume design of the city of Saranda, the tools that have been used over the years and so this (museum) carries a separate story for the whole city of Saranda,” – says Elda Ko\u00e7i, in charge of the museum.<\/p>\n

But the jewel of this museum is the costume from the area of \u200b\u200bTheollogos, which is a full 120 years old, and comes to this day undamaged.<\/p>\n

“Theollogos or Partizan clothing, this clothing is located here because it was donated by an anonymous person who had it from his grandmother. This outfit consists of cloth, dress, waist belt, embroidered scarf, and its inner part from the white cloth worn by women,” said Ko\u00e7i.<\/p>\n

The Museum of Tradition is serving as an important destination for the November holidays, where even though the temperatures are low, Saranda still welcomes visitors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
