Eurocontrol, the organization managing European air traffic and billing the fees (on behalf of Albcontrol), decided that for the year 2024, the fee for Tirana Airport would be 218.33 euros per aircraft, down from 219.45 euros in 2023.<\/p>\n
For Kuk\u00ebs Airport, categorized as a Zone 2 airport, the approved fee by Eurocontrol for this year is 109.16 euros, down from 109.73 in the previous year.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the interest paid for overdue obligations has increased. While for the year 2023, this interest rate was 9.9%, there is a noticeable increase to 13.26% for this year.<\/p>\n
Albania has two functional airports, while a third is under construction in Vlora, expected to be completed this year and start operations in 2025. Albania has experienced a tourist boom in the last two years, where air visitors are increasingly significant. Only at Tirana Airport in 2023, 7.25 million passengers were served. Terminal fees are only set for flights departing, considering two essential elements.<\/p>\n Firstly, the weight of the departing aircraft, and secondly, the unit rate for the aerodrome from which the departure takes place. The result obtained after multiplying these two elements is the value paid for the terminal.
