{"id":64482,"date":"2024-01-10T14:07:13","date_gmt":"2024-01-10T13:07:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/?p=64482"},"modified":"2024-01-10T14:07:13","modified_gmt":"2024-01-10T13:07:13","slug":"foreign-affairs-ministry-albania-successfully-completed-the-screening-process","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/foreign-affairs-ministry-albania-successfully-completed-the-screening-process\/","title":{"rendered":"Foreign Affairs Ministry: Albania successfully completed the screening process"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In 2023, Albania successfully completed the screening process, marking a significant step in the European integration process, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs announced today.<\/p>\n<p>The successful conclusion of the analytical review process of Albanian legislation (screening) to assess its compatibility with the EU involved 1,000 experts and 300 meetings were held over 14 months.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, in 2023, the Berlin Process Summit was held for the first time in Tirana, marking a historic and successful moment for Albania.<\/p>\n<p>The successful conclusion of the Presidency of the Berlin Process and the Western Balkans Fund culminated with the Ministerial and Summit meetings.<\/p>\n<p>Within this process, three agreements on free movement, signed in 2022 in Berlin, came into force.<\/p>\n<p>The enforcement of the Roaming tariff reduction agreement between the EU and the Western Balkans was also made possible.<\/p>\n<p>The College of Europe was opened in Tirana.<\/p>\n<p>And an agreement for the recognition of professional qualifications for \u201cPharmacists, veterinarians, nurses, and midwives\u201d was signed.<\/p>\n<p>For the year 2024, Albania remains committed to advancing the accession negotiation process through the opening of chapters.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In 2023, Albania successfully completed the screening process, marking a significant step in the European integration process, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs announced today.
