The price of apartments in Europe falls by -1% compared to last year, while rents increase by 3%.<\/p>\n
The data is evidenced by Eurostat, where for the third quarter of last year, sales and rental prices increased by 0.8% on average.<\/p>\n
House prices and rents began to rise in 2010 together until the first quarter of 2011, where as the price per square meter began to decline, rents continued to rise steadily.<\/p>\n
As the value of rents in 27 countries of the European Union followed a steady growth trend, the price of apartments in 2017 increased drastically. Since 2010, house prices have increased by 48%, while rents have increased by 22%.<\/p>\n
In this period, countries such as Estonia, Hungary and Lithuania reflected a tripling of prices per square meter.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Italy, Greece and Cyprus were the only EU countries where apartment prices decreased.<\/p>\n
As for Albania, real estate prices have increased more dramatically since 2018. Before that, prices were generally stable, starting from 2013, when the Fischer Index of the Bank of Albania began to analyze them. From 2013 until today, the data show that the price of 1 square meter in Tirana and the coast has doubled.<\/p>\n
