More than 49,000 calls for medical assistance have been directed to the National Emergency since January 1. The emergency teams have made about 15,000 visits to patients homes.<\/p>\n
The head of this center, Sk\u00ebnder Brataj, in an interview for Euronews Albania, says that a good part of the calls are the result of concerns caused by the flu situation.<\/p>\n
“347 visits is the average number of visits to patients home, which means that there is a presence of infectious diseases and influenza”, Sk\u00ebnder Brataj, Director of the National Emergency.<\/p>\n
But which are the concerns that force patients to seek emergency care?<\/p>\n
“Temperature, cough, pain, when every part of body hurts”, – Sk\u00ebnder Brataj, Director of the National Emergency.<\/p>\n
As for the epidemiological situation, referring to calls to the National Emergency, Brataj says that the figures are the same as a year ago.<\/p>\n
Currently, in Albania, there are about 16,000 people a week who present themselves to the doctor as a result of being affected by the flu. According to epidemiologists, the infection curve is decreasing, while children remain the most affected.<\/p>\n
