Albania is a true gem to discover in the Balkans area. Popularly known as the Land of the Eagles, it has a coast of 362 km bathed by the Adriatic and Ionian Seas. One of its particularities is that there is not a great exploitation of its landscape, finding wild and untouched nature. Its impressive cultural heritage of Roman, Greek, Byzantine, Ottoman, and Slavic heritage stands out, among others. Having been part of the USSR after the end of World War II, Albania has been isolated for decades. Since the fall of the regime, it has gradually opened up to other countries, being today an emerging tourist destination.<\/p>\n

Next to Albania, to the east, is North Macedonia, which was part of the Republic of Yugoslavia. Its nature and charming landscapes are a real attraction, with spectacular mountain systems and lakes. Like its neighbor Albania, Macedonia retains Greek, Roman, and Ottoman cultural influences in its cultural heritage and traditions.<\/p>\n

Great natural and cultural heritage<\/strong><\/p>\n

Travelers will be able to enjoy the best-kept secrets of Albania and Macedonia on the Great Easter Tour of Albania and Macedonia. Travelers will have the opportunity to visit the cities of Butrint, Berat, and Gjirokast\u00ebr, declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO for their architectural, artistic, and cultural uniqueness. In Macedonia, they will visit Ohrid and its lake, one of the oldest on the planet, as well as the 11th<\/sup>-century Church of Saint Sophia. Continuing the tour through the Balkans, they will also visit the Monastery of Saint Naum, known for its Byzantine-style architecture; the city of Kor\u00e7a, with its Ottoman bazaar and Orthodox cathedral, and the L\u00ebkursi Fortress, from where you can enjoy the best views of the bay of Saranda and the Greek island of Corfu. You cannot return to Spain without knowing the Albanian Riviera or Tirana, the capital of Albania, with its Clock Tower, the Et\u2019hem Bey Mosque, or its main square, presided over by the statue of the national hero Skanderbeg.<\/p>\n
