The US Department of State has reacted regarding the visit of the Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, to Tirana.<\/p>\n
Through a post on the official website, the US Department of State revealed part of the discussion between Blinken and President Bajram Begaj, before their meeting.<\/p>\n
Blinken and Begaj said during their speech that during the last years, the strategic partnership between the two countries is stronger than ever.<\/p>\n
SECRETARY BLINKEN:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0Thank you so much, Mr. President.\u00a0 \u00a0It\u2019s a privilege.<\/p>\n PRESIDENT BEGAJ:\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0A great pleasure.\u00a0\u00a0Thank you.<\/p>\n SECRETARY BLINKEN:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0Thank you.<\/p>\n PRESIDENT BEGAJ:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0This is very good that we can demonstrate that our strategic partnership is stronger than ever.<\/p>\n SECRETARY BLINKEN:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0I could not agree more.\u00a0 Thank you.<\/p>\n PRESIDENT BEGAJ:<\/strong>\u00a0 And I\u2019m grateful about what you are doing for Albania, for Kosovo and in the region.\u00a0 And, of course, I cannot leave without mentioning that you have done so much for Albanian democracy, about rule of law, about justice reform, and in defense and security, and of course, in economy and education.\u00a0 And I can assure you that Albania is committed to be always with you, and of course, we\u2019ll be a contributor to the regional and global security.<\/p>\n SECRETARY BLINKEN:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0We see that every day.\u00a0 This is a partnership, and we\u2019re grateful for it.\u00a0 We know that so many of the challenges each of us has we can most effectively deal with together, not alone.\u00a0 And so for us to have the friendship, the partnership \u2013 it\u2019s been 101 years of diplomatic relations, but the last few years in particular we\u2019ve seen the strength of the partnership in so many different areas.\u00a0 So it\u2019s a great pleasure.<\/p>\n PRESIDENT BEGAJ:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0It\u2019s a strong message that you are supporting Albania, Albanian foreign policy, and of course the future of Albania \u2013 its way to European unification.<\/p>\n SECRETARY BLINKEN:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0Yes.<\/p>\n PRESIDENT BEGAJ:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0And I am sure that \u2013 and I see this visit as a bright future for Albania and our partnership.\u00a0 Strategic partnership will be for more hundred years to come, so we will have time to celebrate.<\/p>\n SECRETARY BLINKEN:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0It\u2019s a very \u2013 a very good wish.<\/p>\n PRESIDENT BEGAJ:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0Good.\u00a0 Thank you.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The US Department of State has reacted regarding the visit of the Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, to Tirana.
