After the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, expressed a series of criticisms towards the meeting of the EU’s special envoy for the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Miroslav Laj\u010d\u00e1k, with a group of the Serbian community from civil society, the media and the office of the People’s Advocate – the ambassadors of the QUINT countries in Kosovo say that they “representatives of the Kosovo Serbs are reliable partners”.<\/p>\n
“The ambassadors of QUINT [USA, Great Britain, Germany, France, Italy] and the EU appreciate the opportunity to meet today with the deputy ombudsman and representatives of the Kosovo Serb community –\u00a0 who are reliable partners in our joint efforts to improve human rights and inter-ethnic relations for Kosovo”, wrote the ambassador of Germany in Kosovo, Jorn Rohde, on the social network X, which was previously known as Twitter.<\/p>\n
This group of Serbs, including the deputy ombudsman in Kosovo, Srdjan Sentic, Jovana Radosavljevi\u010d and Miodrag Milicevi\u010d from the non-governmental organizations New Social and Active Initiative, the director of the local RTV, Kim Isak Vorgu\u010di\u010d and Dragisha Mija\u010di\u010d from the working group of Belgrade of the National Convention for the European Union, met with Laj\u010d\u00e1k on February 13 in Brussels.<\/p>\n
“It always helps when you hear voices from the field,” Laj\u010d\u00e1k wrote in a post on the X social network after that meeting.<\/p>\n
To this, the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo responded by announcing that in the meeting with Laj\u010d\u00e1k there was a “delegation composed mainly of Serbian non-governmental organizations from Kosovo, which actively and openly advocate against the integration of Serbian citizens in the economic sector and in the social life of Kosovo “.<\/p>\n
