During all these days, work is being done to clean the coastline. Mayor Ilir Xhakolli has announced that this year there will be more space for public beaches.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Cleaning the beach in the city up to Drilon, we will also demolish some bridges at the entrance of the city which have hindered the development of the beach there. This year we expect even more tourists, we had over 450,000 of them and we will take measures to cope with all the flow we expect&#8221;, said Ilir Xhakolli, the mayor of Pogradec.<\/p>\n<p>Mimoza Shuli is one of the tourist operators of the city of Pogradec. In the business that she runs, reservations are numerous, even from distant countries like Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have started to prepare, with restorations and increasing the quality of service. Last year was a successful year, this year we expect a bigger flow. Reservations have started and we have from countries that we have not had before, we have from Mexico, Canada, America, we have permanent customers who come, Czech Germans and Poles are already our friends as they come to Pogradec every year&#8221;, Mimoza Shuli, tour operator.<\/p>\n<p>Even this year, the provision of human resources remains a problem, even in circumstances where the salaries of service employees are considerable.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have a problem with human resources, it is a very big problem, today we are not talking about qualified employees, but there are no employees. This has nothing to do with the salary anymore, since the conditions are no longer set by the employer but by the employee, we take them, interview them, test them and ask them what conditions they have&#8221;, said Mimoza Shuli, tourist operator.<\/p>\n<p>A year ago, Pogradec welcomed more than 440,000 local and foreign tourists, while according to tourist operators, the reservations for this year are many times larger.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The municipality of Pogradec has started preparations for the new tourist season.
