The Albanian public received with applause the performance of \u201cCarmina Burana\u201d, a combination of ballet and opera, staged over the weekend at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet.<\/p>\n
Tickets were sold at a record pace for both show dates.<\/p>\n
\u201cCarmina Burana\u201d, with music by Carl Orff and choreography by Youri Vamos, brought together over 200 artists on stage.<\/p>\n
The soloists, the Symphony Orchestra, the Ballet Company, the Choir, the White Voices Choir, and Vocal Formation of the Armed Forces presented this work at the stage of the National Theatre.<\/p>\n
The first cast featured Adela Mu\u00e7ollari as the maiden, Anxhelo Mu\u00e7ollari as the boy, the arrogant ones were portrayed by Erald Zela and Ervis Ko\u00e7eku, the hypocrite by Elton Merja, the ego by Dion Gjinika, and the woman by Jonida Qafmolla.<\/p>\n
Equally successful was the second cast with Odeta Dishnica, Anxhelo Mu\u00e7ollari, Erald Zela, Ervis Ko\u00e7eku, Enred Mjolli, Dion Gjinika, and others.<\/p>\n
The soloists Rovena Xhelili, soprano, tenor Matias Xheli, and baritone Armando Likaj also performed in this work.<\/p>\n
\u201cCarmina Burana\u201d was composed by the German Carl Orff in 1936. Its libretto is a collection of poems found in a manuscript from the thirteenth century, originating from the Benedictine monastery in Germany.<\/p>\n
