Israeli Ambassador to Tirana Galit Peleg discussed Iran\u2019s attack on Israel with Euronews Albania.<\/p>\n
Asked whether Israel would retaliate, Peleg said her country has the capabilities and power to initiate a war but does not want to be the cause of worsening the situation in the region.<\/p>\n
She stated that Iran should take this into account and not think they are weak against it, but should consider the nuances of Israel\u2019s silence.<\/p>\n
However, she added that it is expected that in the coming days the government will announce what we have planned.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe big question that is in the air now is will Israel retaliate or not? I think that it\u2019s a big dilemma and the reason is that on one hand, we don\u2019t want to create reason to deteriorate the situation in the region, and we definitely don\u2019t aim to create another front of war. Since October 7, Israel is in the middle of a very important war in Gaza against the terrorist organization Hamas, and we have no intention to open another front.<\/p>\n
Iranians must understand that if we keep quiet, there is a subtext to this silent message, that if we want to retaliate, we can and we will find the way and the time to do it.<\/p>\n
The fact that we are not attacking Tehran and we have the capability to do it, is not because of weakness. It\u2019s strength, and I think that in the coming days our government will state what we plan to do. It would be better not to repeat this attempt that they tried to do 24 hours ago,\u201d said Ambassador Peleg.<\/p>\n
