The two largest parliamentary groups are still far from finding a consensus that would send the names to the Parliament to be voted for the post of one of the most important institutions for human rights.<\/p>\n
After the return of normality in the Assembly in March, there were no discussions between the socialists and the democrats about voting on the new name of the People’s Advocate, and for this reason, the chances of this happening this political session that closes in July are few.<\/p>\n
After the dismissal of Ledio Braho’s name in the plenary session in December 2022, the process started again and currently the names of 7 candidates are in the assembly who have secured the support of 28 deputies of the Assembly.<\/p>\n
Names that are expected to go to the plenary session to be voted on, and if it does not happen, then the process must start from the beginning for the third time.<\/p>\n
