The British Foreign Secretary, David Cameron, has asked the North Atlantic Alliance to have more forces present in the KFOR mission in Kosovo.<\/p>\n
In a report to the House of Lords in the British Parliament, when asked about the situation in the Balkans, the Foreign Secretary stated that after the visit to Kosovo, he contacted the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, and asked him to do more.<\/p>\n
The head of British diplomacy said that KFOR must be stronger and braver.<\/p>\n
The KFOR mission in Kosovo has returned to the center of attention after the increase in tensions in the north of Kosovo and the armed attack in Banjska of Zvecan, Kosovo.<\/p>\n
The government of Kosovo has often raised the alarm about scenarios of violence and military provocation by Serbia. Most of the western countries have requested greater engagement of the military mission to avoid incidents between Serbia and Kosovo. 28 NATO member states have been participating in the KFOR Mission in Kosovo since 1999. It is estimated that the mission has around 4,400 civilian and military personnel.<\/p>\n
