The Declaration states that enhanced cooperation at the operational level between law enforcement agencies and joint engagements will help dismantle criminal groups that facilitate illegal border crossings by exploiting vulnerable migrants and refugees.<\/p>\n<p>The United Kingdom and Albania recall the 2022 Joint Communiqu\u00e9, which focused on enhanced measures to tackle illegal migration. This included the establishment of a Joint UK-Albania Migration Task Force and resulted in a reduction of Albanian small vessel arrivals by 90% by 2023.<\/p>\n<p>However, through the document signed today, the ministers emphasize that organized migration crime still remains a challenge, including the transit of third-country nationals within the Western Balkans and the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>Kosovo joins the Joint Migration Task Force to provide a joint law enforcement response to illegal migration.
