The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, said on Tuesday that he does not believe that there are insurmountable differences between him and other heads of state, including the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani.<\/p>\n
Discussions in this direction have grown each time more and more, since the Presidency of Kosovo has said that the Government has not consulted with it, regarding the steps that Kosovo has taken for membership in the Council of Europe.<\/p>\n
Taking steps towards the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority has been a condition for Kosovo to become a member of this leading organization in the field of human rights, in the month of May.<\/p>\n
One day before the meeting of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, the Kosovo authorities said that during the month of May they would send a proposal for the formation of the Association to the Constitutional Court of Kosovo for review however, high officials of the West have estimated that something like this was insufficient to fulfill the condition.<\/p>\n
“We have close cooperation. This does not mean that we did not have discussions, sometimes differences, with the speaker [Glauk] Konjufca, with the Foreign Minister, G\u00ebrvalla, and with the president [Vjosa] Osmani, but I do not believe that there are any that are insurmountable “.<\/p>\n
Radio Free Europe contacted the cabinets of Osmani, Kurti and G\u00ebrvalla a few days ago to get an answer as to whether the relations between them have changed, but it did not receive a reply.<\/p>\n
However, Ilir K\u00ebr\u00e7eli from the cabinet of the President of the Assembly, has denied that there is any disagreement between President Osmani and Speaker Konjufca.<\/p>\n
\u2018Lista Guxo\u2019, which was founded by President Osmani, together with Minister G\u00ebrvalla, competed in a joint list with the Vet\u00ebvendosje Movement in the 2021 elections.<\/p>\n
\u2018Guxo\u2019, together with the \u2018Vet\u00ebvendosje Movement\u2019, won over 50 percent of the votes.<\/p>\n
The new government, led by Kurti, was formed on March 22, 2021, writes Radio Free Europe.<\/p>\n
Vjosa Osmani was elected president a few days later, on April 4, 2021.<\/p>\n
