Prime Minister Edi Rama traveled to Pristina earlier this week to participate in the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of the liberation of Kosovo.<\/p>\n

At the international conference dedicated to this anniversary entitled “Rugova and the West”, the head of the executive was harsh with the government led by Albin Kurti, whom he chose not to meet, but to convey some messages to him in his relations with official Belgrade.<\/p>\n

Rama demanded that Kosovo move forward and not use foreign policy as internal policy to get votes.<\/p>\n

“We are in a process where the approach to foreign policy as domestic policy is deepened and the use of communication platforms abroad as platforms to get votes here. This confrontation like the cat and the mouse on the table, these meetings to be locked inside for hours only to come out after the meeting and say how strong I stood for the other, these do not lead anywhere. Kosovo should show the license plate to Serbia and move on, and Serbia should do whatever it wants,” Rama said, among other things, during his speech.<\/p>\n

In front of the panel and the participants, Rama also appreciated the role and figure of former president Ibrahim Rugova in the formation of the state of Kosovo.<\/p>\n

For Rama, the Balkans have a historic chance to advance the dialogue. During his stay in Pristina, Prime Minister Rama also met with President Vjosa Osmani.<\/p>\n
