There are a number of events for the promotion of tradition, fairs, concerts with the participation of local and foreign artists that are now included in tourist guides.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The month of August has opened with a series of activities that have now become a tradition &#8220;Iso on the cobblestones&#8221; every weekend the cobblestones of Gjirokastra hum from iso, from polyphonic songs and bring even more vitality to the characteristic Bazaar, today we have a very interesting activity again in the museum area &#8220;Folk on tour&#8221; The National Ensemble of Folk Songs and Folk Dances comes to Gjirokastra with the aim of bringing even more colors and music to this city&#8221;, &#8211; Kristina Gushi, deputy mayor of Gjirokastra municipality.<\/p>\n<p>Cultural events have attracted the interest of tourists by presenting cultural values \u200b\u200band traditions and making the visit to Gjirokastra more attractive.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Gjirokastra\u2019s citizens as well as local and foreign tourists should be offered something different every day, the municipality has focused on this and we believe we have achieved it, the month of September will come with many activities&#8221;, &#8211; Kristina Gushi, deputy mayor of Gjirokastra municipality.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout this year, Gjirokastra has welcomed around 200,000 tourists, while the city&#8217;s castle is the most visited monument in our country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The rich calendar of cultural activities taking place in Gjirokastra are considered a strong point for attracting tourists in these summer days.
