{"id":70746,"date":"2024-08-25T18:05:13","date_gmt":"2024-08-25T16:05:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/?p=70746"},"modified":"2024-08-25T18:05:13","modified_gmt":"2024-08-25T16:05:13","slug":"56-drivers-arrested-in-1-week-police-takes-measures-to-prevent-accidents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/56-drivers-arrested-in-1-week-police-takes-measures-to-prevent-accidents\/","title":{"rendered":"56 drivers arrested in 1 week, Police takes measures to prevent accidents"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">Due to the very high flow of vehicles that circulate on national road axes, coastal, touristic areas, and in large urban areas, as well as from the numerous violations of road traffic rules detected through intelligent means, the Traffic Police has intensified measures with aimed at preventing road accidents.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">As a result of monitoring on all road axes, 24\/7, using smart speedometers, polyscans, automatic radars, high-quality drones, draggers and telescopes, during the week we left behind:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">&#8211; 161 driving licenses were suspended, for speeding above the permitted rates, for driving under the influence of alcohol\/in a drunken state, and for driving in the opposite direction;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">&#8211; 56 drivers were arrested for driving while intoxicated and for driving without a driving license.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Also, 22,260 administrative measures have been imposed throughout the country, of which:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u2013 6212 for speed exceeding the permitted rates;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u2013 1123 for using a mobile phone while driving;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u2013 1125 for not using the seat belt;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u2013 2100 for wrong passings;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u2013 178 for not wearing a protective helmet;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u2013 108 for dangerous maneuvers on the road;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u2013 213 for driving under the influence of alcohol;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u2013 9229 for wrong parking;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u2013 1972 for other violations of the Highway Code.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Due to the very high flow of vehicles that circulate on national road axes, coastal, touristic areas, and in large urban areas, as well as from the numerous violations of road traffic rules detected through intelligent means, the Traffic Police has intensified measures with aimed at preventing road accidents.
