{"id":70893,"date":"2024-09-02T20:02:08","date_gmt":"2024-09-02T18:02:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/?p=70893"},"modified":"2024-09-02T20:53:53","modified_gmt":"2024-09-02T18:53:53","slug":"august-registers-60-thousand-tourists-in-gjirokastra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/august-registers-60-thousand-tourists-in-gjirokastra\/","title":{"rendered":"August registers 60 thousand tourists in Gjirokastra"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Gjirokastra Castle continues to be the most visited monument by tourists in Albania, while 60,000 visitors were registered during the month of August.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the tourists who visit the Argjiro castle are foreigners, but local visitors are also interested in its values \u200b\u200band history.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In 1993 I was here, when I came today I saw a lot of changes in Gjirokastra and in the castle, the cleanliness, that this is a tourist place and it is the place of festivals for all Albanians and it is an attractive city for every Albanian,&#8221; says an old man.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I come from Argentina, it is the first time I visit Albania and this very beautiful castle, I have visited many castles in different countries but this one is wonderful, I recommend everyone to come and visit Gjirokastra and the city&#8217;s castle because it has to be beautiful experience and pleasure,&#8221; says a tourist.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are a group of young people from the Czech Republic who are enjoying visiting Albania and this castle, it is really a special castle,&#8221; says another tourist.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the stone fortress, Gjirokastra has a variety of tourist guides with cultural monuments, natural and historical values, which also attracted a high number of visitors during the summer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gjirokastra Castle continues to be the most visited monument by tourists in Albania, while 60,000 visitors were registered during the month of August.
