The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, said that the country has fulfilled all the conditions to gain the status of a candidate country of the European Union.<\/p>\n
She made this statement during the first meeting with the new head of the EU Office in Kosovo, Aivo Orav.<\/span><\/p>\n Kosovo has applied for EU membership at the end of 2022 and is the only country in the Western Balkans region that does not have the status of a candidate country.<\/span><\/p>\n In the last Progress Report of the European Commission, it was said that Kosovo has made “limited progress” in meeting the standards necessary to join the EU.<\/span><\/p>\n In the meeting between Osmani and Oravi, the latest developments were discussed, including security ones, announced the Presidency of Kosovo.<\/span><\/p>\n Finally, the Government of Kosovo has faced criticism from the international community after some actions in the north of Kosovo, inhabited by a majority of Serbs.
