The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti on Wednesday dedicated his address at the beginning of the government meeting to the situation in the north. He told about the unannounced visit there on Tuesday, where he emphasized that these visits are not against anyone.<\/p>\n
“Our visits, of state officials, to these municipalities are not against anyone. In fact, they are necessary to understand the needs that these municipalities have, after we have put aside any prejudice that our government has been committed to since its first day. Precisely in order to discard mutual prejudices and to understand how neglected the citizens are, we are making these visits, which are working visits. Investments are being made there that were not made in the previous two decades. Services are being added that the citizens have been missing,” declared Kurti.<\/p>\n
Kurti also announced the reasons for the recent actions of the state of Kosovo in the north.<\/p>\n
“At the end of last month, after reports and confirmed evidence that Serbian parallel municipalities are operating in the four northern municipalities in occupied spaces, and are conducting illegal activities, our security institutions took legal action to close them down. This has enabled us, the governing institutions, to then offer legal services.”<\/p>\n
According to Kurti, the state of Kosovo is not closing offices, but opening them so that citizens can be offered legal services.<\/p>\n
Also, Prime Minister Kurti added that last week it was understood who was for closure and restrictions.<\/p>\n
“Groups of masked persons, in the presence of the Police of Serbia, on the border with the Republic of Kosovo but in the territory of Serbia, played the role of border police by stopping legitimate passenger cars to understand their ethnicity. During those days, our institutions, the police and the intelligence have been working from minute to minute so that the plans and goals of these groups fail as they did,” said Kurti.<\/p>\n
The head of the government said that in that part there is a lot of work that is done and not known, therefore he used the opportunity to thank all the police officers and agents who have taken care that the public and citizens see and live only the positive results despite the malicious plans of Serbia.<\/p>\n
