Announcement of new local elections in the north of Kosovo, the return of Serbs to the Kosovo Police and the judiciary, as well as the withdrawal of the special units of the Kosovo Police from the northern region, were some of the main demands that the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vu\u010di\u0107, mentioned for Kosovo.<\/p>\n
In an address to the nation, on September 13, Vu\u010di\u0107 said that Serbia believes that the fulfillment of the demands is a “necessary precondition for a significant progress” in the dialogue process between Kosovo and Serbia.<\/p>\n
“We want to return to everything that has been achieved and progressed in the dialogue process”, said Vu\u010di\u0107.<\/p>\n
He has warned that Belgrade will launch a “global diplomatic campaign” in order to meet these demands.<\/p>\n
According to a document that was distributed to the media before Vu\u010di\u0107’s address, the Serbian Parliament will approve a decision on the “illegality” of all institutions established in Kosovo, after the declaration of independence.<\/p>\n
Vu\u010di\u0107 said on Friday that there is no satisfactory solution for the Serbs for, as he said, “the problem of Kosovo and Metohija”.<\/p>\n
“There is no miracle worker who can bring the Serbs a good solution for Kosovo and Metohija. I accept it. Even though I am the president who has held the most talks”, said Vu\u010di\u0107 in a speech addressed to the people, announced days ago.<\/p>\n
According to the document, Serbia requires:<\/strong><\/p>\n In addition to these requirements, the document mentions that the Assembly of Serbia will adopt a law within 45 days to “declare the autonomous province of Kosovo and Metohija as an area of \u200b\u200bspecial social protection, thus guaranteeing the right to financial support for the unemployed.”<\/p>\n “We will increase our aid and support to the population dramatically.
