{"id":71732,"date":"2024-10-03T20:51:54","date_gmt":"2024-10-03T18:51:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/?p=71732"},"modified":"2024-10-03T20:51:54","modified_gmt":"2024-10-03T18:51:54","slug":"ilir-proda-officially-takes-office-as-general-director-of-police","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/ilir-proda-officially-takes-office-as-general-director-of-police\/","title":{"rendered":"Ilir Proda officially takes office as General Director of Police"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The new General Director of the State Police, Ilir Proda, officially took office this Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Proda took the oath in a solemn ceremony, where the senior leaders of the police management structures and the Minister of the Interior, Ervin Hoxha, were present.<\/p>\n<p>During his speech, Minister Hoxha expressed his belief that Ilir Proda will bring a new pace and dynamics to the police organization.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am fully confident that, at the end of this reform process for the leadership structures of the police, the necessary conditions will be created to achieve the great goal: the construction of a modern police force, which will be comparable to the structures of the countries of European Union&#8221;, said Hoxha.<\/p>\n<p>Proda was appointed General Director of the State Police by decision of the Council of Ministers on October 2.<\/p>\n<p>He has a 19-year career in Police structures, including his role as head of several different directorates within this institution.<\/p>\n<p>Ilir Proda was proposed to Prime Minister Rama by Interior Minister Ervin Hoxha, after a competition held during the month of September.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The new General Director of the State Police, Ilir Proda, officially took office this Thursday.
