A multiple assassination that took place in Shkoder earlier this month, claiming the lives of four people, has been sent to the country’s special prosecutor for crime and corruption. The Shkodra Prosector declared they are not competent to continue the investigation as it is a crime committed by a criminal group.<\/p>\n
Head of the democratic party Sali berisha has called another nationwide protest against the government’s proposed budget. In a press conference with the media, Berisha said the protest will take place on the day the budget will pass for voting in parliament, likely in mid December. Berisha argues the funds have not been prioritised correctly in key areas like health and education.<\/p>\n
The budget for 2025 foresees some 57 million euros of spending for the ministry of defence.
\nMinister Pirro Vengu declared this figure will satisfy NATOs target that all member states spend 2% of annual GDP on defence.<\/p>\n
