“Property has a sacred concept and the idea that property is something sacred still persists. It gives you security, peace of mind, comfort for continuity, but above all we still do not have a social state, which guarantees us housing or employment policies, so that we can invest in other investments”, says Orgest Beti, real estate consultant.<\/p>\n
The capital has the highest number of families that live in rent with 16%, while owner families in Tirana are 76%. The biggest investors are the immigrants, who over the years have contributed to their parents or family members having a secure home regardless of the circumstances.<\/p>\n
“In other countries, we have to understand that they have work far away, so they cannot stay in an apartment and then have work far away. In Albania, the distances are close and when you buy an apartment, you position yourself there and build the future for yourself and your children”, says the real estate consultant.<\/p>\n
In Europe, Albania is the second country after North Macedonia for the highest percentage of the population that owns a house.<\/p>\n
