The 27th Book Fair, one of the biggest events for Albanian culture and literature, opened its doors at the Palace of Congresses with the motto “To read means: to live, to discover, to grow”.<\/p>\n
90 publishing houses have opened their stands for this edition and will wait for readers until November 17.<\/p>\n
During these days, the public can visit the stands of publishing houses, meet the writers and translators, buy publications at a reduced price, but also participate in promotional activities.<\/p>\n
The Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu, was also present at the opening ceremony of this event<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Persida Asllani told Euronews Albania how much the book fair affects the promotion of books.<\/p>\n
So among the hundreds of titles that will be exhibited at this fair, the writer Edmond Tupja brings to the reader the work “Umbrellas”<\/p>\n
As has already become a tradition, a jury of professionals such as Anisa Ymeri, Ben Andoni, Ilir Ba\u00e7i, Ledia Dushi and Lili Sula will share the awards of the Fair for the best works of 2024. The awards will be given to the best translator well, best author, best children’s book and best study book.<\/p>\n
