The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, during the annual address to the deputies of the Assembly, spoke about the importance of maintaining the partnership with allies. She said that the weakening of alliances is a strategic mistake while adding that “I have never understood the mockery that is made at the expense of the allies”.<\/p>\n
“Political history teaches us that weakening alliances or partnerships is a strategic mistake, working together with those who helped us to have the freedom of the state is never subjugation or blackmail. I firmly believe that our greatest strength lies precisely in our partnership, alliances between states are bigger and more important than any of us as politicians or any election party. They are cornerstones of our successes and investment in a future where Kosovo will be an equal member of the Euro-Atlantic community of free nations. The alliances are here to protect us, therefore putting them at risk, gambling with them, or undermining them undermines the very defense of our republic”, said Osmani.<\/p>\n
Osmani has added that she has never understood the “taunts that are made at the expense of the allies\u201d.<\/p>\n
“See the statements of the leaders of the world’s superpowers, you will see hundreds of statements and speeches about how they are committed to overcome every challenge together with allies because they cannot do it alone. Therefore, I have never understood nor understood the mockery that is made at the expense of the allies, the attacks on them, nor the misuse of their name to gain power, neither of them do honor to Kosovo”, said Osmani.<\/p>\n
President Vjosa Osmani said that the guarantees of allies for support and membership in NATO and other international organizations are not very important for the signing of an agreement with Serbia.<\/p>\n
“We should discuss with our allies, the implementation of our part only in exchange of international guarantees that include membership in NATO and international organizations, as well as support for new recognitions. To put it bluntly, for me, the signature of the President of America is more important than the signature of the President of Serbia. I hope I am clear enough”, said Osmani.<\/p>\n
