It had its debut in 1979, but the opera by the composer Rauf Dhomi “Goca e Ka\u00e7aniku” was revived after 45 years on the stage of the National Theater of Opera and Ballet, in Tirana.<\/p>\n
Director Nikolin Gurakuqi retakes this opera after four decades to premiere it in Kosovo in February of this year, with lyrical artists from Kosovo.<\/p>\n
“Ka\u00e7aniku\u2019s Girl” came as a production of the Kosovo Opera, but with the participation of Albanian artists who live and work outside Albanian territory.<\/p>\n
Even for bass Hektor Leka, who performed the emblematic figure of the old man, who resembled the legendary hero Adem Jashari, it was also the first time he sang at TKOB, after a long career in Trieste.<\/p>\n
The show was an extraordinary success, the same as in ’79 in Tirana. The story of the work describes a story of love, bravery and resistance for freedom, so the two Albanian-Kosovo opera institutions, in the week of the flag, bring it to the public in the capital.<\/p>\n
