{"id":75095,"date":"2025-01-04T14:02:55","date_gmt":"2025-01-04T13:02:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/?p=75095"},"modified":"2025-01-04T14:33:13","modified_gmt":"2025-01-04T13:33:13","slug":"thumane-kashar-road-from-today-with-toll","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/thumane-kashar-road-from-today-with-toll\/","title":{"rendered":"Thumane-Kashar road from today with toll"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">From January 4, all those who will cross the Thumane-Kashar axis will have to pay.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">6 months after the opening of this axis, the concession company has started the application of fees that start from 2.5 euros but are differentiated according to the category of vehicles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">At the payment points, the conversion from euro to lek will be done based on the rate of the Bank of Albania, in this way, a small car will pay 250 lek for crossing the Thuman\u00eb-Kashar highway.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Cars with 2-3 axles and height over 2.2 meters will pay 620 Lek and vehicles with 4 or more axles will pay 870 Lek.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Meanwhile, the fee to be paid by every vehicle that crosses Rinas &#8211; Kashar and vice versa varies from 80 Lek for small cars to 270 Lek for heavy tonnage vehicles.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>As for the Rinas &#8211; Thuman\u00eb axis and vice versa, it varies from 120 Lek per tricycle to 600 Lek for heavy tonnage vehicles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The fee will be revised annually according to exchange rate fluctuations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Thuman\u00eb-Kashar road is part of the Adriatic-Ionian corridor and was opened for traffic on June 30, 2024. The segment has a length of 21 kilometers and is the first Category A highway, which means not only European road construction standards, but also a different speed limit than the other road axes of the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Its trail starts from Thumana, 150 meters inside the existing 4-lane highway, which connects Milot with Thumana in the direction of Fush\u00eb-Kruja.
