Specifically, Albanian citizens outside the borders will no longer wait 30 days for their passport, as the deadline has been reduced to only 15 days.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister of the Interior, Ervin Hoxha, described the agreement as a step towards higher standards for facilitating procedures for citizens.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This procedure, which previously lasted about 30 days, will now last only 15 days. I appeal to all Albanian citizens abroad to apply for ID cards and passports as soon as possible, checking their validity,&#8221; Minister Hoxha emphasized.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, appreciated the inter-institutional cooperation and commitment to improving services for the Albanian diaspora.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;All those who apply abroad will immediately feel the benefits of this service. We will continue our efforts to facilitate more and more the commitments we have undertaken, always being at the service of our citizens, wherever they are,&#8221; Minister Hasani declared.<\/p>\n<p>The administrator of &#8220;IdentiTek&#8221;, Freskida Halilaj, explained that consuls and authorized representatives will have the opportunity to electronically sign the application forms, guaranteeing the production of biometric documents within the new shortened deadlines.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The time and procedures for applying biometric documents for Albanian citizens living abroad will be shortened significantly.
