{"id":75884,"date":"2025-01-29T21:02:28","date_gmt":"2025-01-29T20:02:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/?p=75884"},"modified":"2025-01-29T21:29:24","modified_gmt":"2025-01-29T20:29:24","slug":"dual-jobholders-will-be-taxed-monthly-personal-status-declaration-becomes-a-legal-obligation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euronews.al\/en\/dual-jobholders-will-be-taxed-monthly-personal-status-declaration-becomes-a-legal-obligation\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cDual Jobholders Will Be Taxed Monthly\u201d \u2013 Personal Status Declaration Becomes a Legal Obligation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">All employees in the country must complete the <\/span><span class=\"s1\">Personal Status Declaration<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> before receiving their January salary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">This document is a new requirement stemming from the <\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u201cIncome Tax Law\u201d<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> and does not entail any additional costs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Every employee is legally required to fill out the <\/span><span class=\"s1\">Personal Status Declaration<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> before receiving their January salary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">For employees signing a new contract this year, the status declaration must be signed by both the employer and the employee before the employment relationship begins.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">The form is completed only once, and after that, the deductions prescribed by law will be applied.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">For individuals with two jobs, deductions can be requested at one workplace\u2014the one where this status has been signed. Consequently, at other workplaces, any income earned during the month will be taxed in full (gross).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Until now, the law required that the income of dual jobholders be consolidated at the end of the year and subjected to taxation after completing the <\/span><span class=\"s1\">Annual Income Declaration (DIVA).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">With the legal changes, taxation will no longer be applied annually but on a <\/span><span class=\"s1\">monthly basis,<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> while the obligation to complete the <\/span><span class=\"s1\">Annual Income Declaration<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> remains in force.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All employees in the country must complete the Personal Status Declaration before receiving their January salary.
