The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met with the European Union’s Special Representative for the Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, Peter Sorensen, during the Munich Security Conference.<\/p>\n

In this first meeting between them, Prime Minister Kurti congratulated Mr. Sorensen on his new position and responsibilities while highlighting Kosovo’s progress over the past four years. He emphasized the country’s average economic growth of 6%, the latest EU report on Kosovo, which notes progress in 36 out of 38 assessment areas with no regress in any field, as well as social redistribution, the rule of law, the fight against corruption, and the advancement of political rights and civil liberties. He stated that Kosovo is an example of how development and democracy go hand in hand.<\/p>\n

Regarding relations with Serbia, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of fully implementing the 2023 Brussels Basic Agreement and its annex. At the same time, he pointed out that this agreement continues to be violated and disregarded by Serbia, which also refuses to sign it. Furthermore, through a letter from former Prime Minister Ana Brnabi\u0107, Serbia has effectively withdrawn from the agreement.<\/p>\n

To move forward, it is necessary to sign the agreement, withdraw Brnabi\u0107\u2019s letter, and hand over the terrorist leader Milan Radoi\u010di\u0107, who is already facing a 160-page indictment from the Prosecutor\u2019s Office of the Republic of Kosovo.
