A total of \u20ac420 million remained unspent from Albania’s 2024 state budget. Half of this amount was originally allocated for wage increases and pensioner bonuses, while the rest was saved from debt interest payments and investment funds.<\/p>\n

According to the government’s financial plan, \u20ac7.7 billion was projected for spending, but only \u20ac7.28 billion was actually used, leaving a significant surplus in the treasury for future national needs.<\/p>\n

  • \u20ac110 million was left unspent from the public sector wage increase program.<\/li>\n
  • Another \u20ac110 million in unused funds will be allocated as pensioner bonuses in early March.<\/li>\n
  • \u20ac37 million was saved from emergency reserve funds, as no unexpected crises required their use.<\/li>\n
  • \u20ac57 million was saved due to lower-than-expected debt interest payments.<\/li>\n
  • \u20ac16 million remained unused in unfinished investment projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
