An hour of work in Albania is paid less than in any other country in the region and Europe, according to the latest Eurostat report, which refers to data from 2022.<\/p>\n
Albanian workers are the lowest-paid in Europe per hour of work, as highlighted in Eurostat’s report, which compares wages in euros per hour and purchasing power in 2022. In terms of numbers, Albanian workers earned \u20ac2.47 per hour, Bosnian workers earned \u20ac4 per hour, and Serbian workers earned \u20ac4.43 per hour, while other regional countries were not included in the study.<\/p>\n
In terms of gender differences, women earned \u20ac2.63 per hour, while men earned \u20ac2.39 per hour. Even when measured by purchasing power parity (PPP)\u2014which eliminates price differences to make data more comparable\u2014Albania remains at the bottom.<\/p>\n
In other words, with one hour\u2019s wage in Albania, a worker can buy only half of what a worker in Bosnia and Herzegovina or Serbia can afford.<\/p>\n
