President Vjosa Osmani stated that Kosovo aligns with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio\u2019s declaration and reaffirms its full support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe also strongly condemn any action that undermines the foundations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as it threatens the peace and stability that our region has worked tirelessly to achieve\u2014through years of sacrifice and with unwavering American support,\u201d Osmani wrote on X on Sunday.<\/span><\/p>\n U.S. Secretary of State Rubio said on Saturday that the actions of Republika Srpska (RS) President Milorad Dodik pose a threat to the security and stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina and undermine its state institutions.<\/span><\/p>\n On March 5, Dodik enacted laws passed by the Republika Srpska Assembly\u2014Bosnia\u2019s Serb entity\u2014that prohibit the work of the country\u2019s Court, Prosecutor\u2019s Office, State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), and the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council within RS territory.<\/span><\/p>\n However, on March 7, the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina ruled these laws unconstitutional, temporarily suspending them, with a final ruling expected after a full review.<\/span><\/p>\n Leaders in Sarajevo and Bosnia\u2019s Western supporters have accused RS leaders of aiming for eventual secession from Bosnia, although RS officials have denied these allegations.<\/span><\/p>\n Several other actions related to this entity have escalated tensions in recent months.
