During the presentation of the economic program, Rama focused extensively on salaries and pensions. The head of government announced that starting in January 2026, the minimum wage will increase to \u20ac500.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the average salary, Rama stated that by 2030, it is expected to reach \u20ac1200 or even higher.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe average salary in the private sector is \u20ac372. Today, the average salary in the public sector has reached \u20ac1000, and in Albania 2030 it will be at least \u20ac1200. The overall average salary will more than double, and we will increase it by over 30%.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn 2013, when we took office, the minimum wage was \u20ac157. Today, in 2024, it has reached \u20ac400, and starting from 2026 \u2014 through a decision to be made after the elections \u2014 the minimum wage will be \u20ac500.<\/p>\n<p>To support workers benefiting from this rapid increase, employers will be required to raise the minimum wage, but we will offer a relief: for the first 18 months after the increase, the state will not collect any tax obligations on the additional \u20ac100,\u201d said Rama.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding pensions, Rama stated that by 2030 the average pension will reach \u20ac400, while the minimum pension will be \u20ac200.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur ambition is that by 2030, the average pension will be \u20ac400 for all those who have paid full social contributions.
