One week before the official start of the campaign for the May 11, 2025 parliamentary elections, the Council of Ministers has approved a decision to allocate a fund of 150 million Albanian lek\u00eb to support political parties in organizing campaign rallies and events.<\/p>\n

At its meeting held on April 4, 2025, the Council of Ministers approved an increase in the budget for the program \u201cSupport for Political Parties,\u201d which will be used specifically for the electoral campaign.<\/p>\n

The funds will be distributed by the Central Election Commission (CEC), but according to the decision, the amount will not be allocated equally among all political parties participating in the elections.<\/p>\n

The financial impact of this decision will be covered by the reserve fund of the Council of Ministers for 2025, designated for unforeseen expenses of general government units.<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Finance and the CEC have been tasked with the implementation and proper distribution of these funds to the electoral subjects.<\/p>\n

This budget increase aims to support political parties in conducting campaign activities and is part of the government\u2019s efforts to ensure a well-organized and transparent election process.<\/p>\n

DECISION
For the financing of the electoral campaign for the Parliamentary Elections of May 11, 2025, the program “Support for Political Parties” is increased by 150,000,000 (one hundred and fifty million) ALL, to be distributed by the Central Election Commission to the electoral subjects participating in these elections.<\/p>\n

The financial effect, as outlined in point 1 of this decision, will be covered by the Council of Ministers’ reserve fund for unforeseen cases of general government units, approved for the year 2025.<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Finance and the Central Election Commission are tasked with the implementation of this decision.<\/p>\n

This decision enters into force immediately and will be published in the Official Gazette.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
