The leader of the \u201cMund\u00ebsia\u201d Party, Agron Shehaj, closed his election campaign with a call to supporters and Albanian citizens to seize what he called a historic opportunity to change the country\u2019s future.<\/p>\n
Shehaj expressed confidence that Albania has reached a critical moment\u2014one where it can move on from the past and build a new future based on opportunity and genuine effort.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have a unique chance this Sunday. For 35 years, we\u2019ve lived under a political duopoly that has lasted too long. The politicians of these two parties only care about themselves, not about you. That\u2019s why we created \u2018Mund\u00ebsia\u2019 one year ago. This is a real alternative\u2014not just a rotation. Albania needs change. The time for change is now, and that\u2019s what worries them,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He also noted that despite attempts to hinder their progress, the Mund\u00ebsia Party has reached the final stage of the campaign with strength and determination to offer Albania a better future.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen we started this journey less than a year ago, very few would have bet on us. Yet here we are today, on the last day of the campaign, two days before the election\u2014strong and determined, ready to offer Albania a future where everyone can live by their work, without nepotism, without political connections, without relying on the old parties,\u201d Shehaj stated.<\/p>\n
Shehaj spoke openly about the challenges the party has faced, including media attacks, public debates, and even legal proceedings, which he attributed to the fear of change.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s been a long road, and no doubt, those with a vested interest in keeping things the same have done everything they can to stop us. They\u2019ve attacked us on TV, in debates, in meetings, on social media\u2014even in court. But they\u2019re attacking us because they see that something big and historic is happening in Albania. A powerful potential is being unleashed\u2014an unstoppable energy and belief,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n
The Mund\u00ebsia Party closed its campaign at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana, expressing optimism for the May 11 parliamentary elections. On the ballot, the party appears with the number 10.<\/p>\n
