On Wednesday, Euronews Albania\u2019s \u201cBarometer\u201d analyzed and compared the pre-election polling projections with the official results of the May 11 elections as published by the Central Election Commission (CEC).<\/p>\n

Here are the figures for mandates in the Tirana District for each party:<\/p>\n

    Socialist Party and Edi Rama<\/strong>:
    According to the CEC, the Socialist Party secured 18 mandates. Barometer had forecasted a minimum of 17 and a maximum of 19 mandates.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Great Albania Alliance and Sali Berisha<\/strong>:
    CEC reports 13 mandates. Barometer had predicted a range between 12 (minimum), 13 (median), and 14 (maximum) mandates.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Opportunity Party led by Agron Shehaj<\/strong>:
    CEC confirmed 2 mandates in Tirana, matching the Barometer\u2019s prediction.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Nisma \u201cAlbania Becomes\u201d led by Adriatik Lapaj<\/strong>:
    Received only 1 mandate according to the CEC, whereas Barometer had forecasted 2 to 3 mandates\u2014making this the most notable discrepancy.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Bashk\u00eb Movement led by Arlind Qori<\/strong>:
    Gained 1 mandate, in line with Barometer\u2019s 1\u20132 mandate projection.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Social Democratic Party (PSD) of Tom Doshi<\/strong>:
    Secured 1 mandate in Tirana. Barometer had forecasted 0 to 1 mandates.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Overall, the mandate distribution largely aligned with polling projections, except for Adriatik Lapaj\u2019s \u201cAlbania Becomes\u201d movement, which underperformed compared to expectations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
