With backpacks and sporting gear, many have spotted the Slovenian couple, Ida and Marjan, walking through some of the most beautiful areas of Shkod\u00ebr. We met them at the Mesi Bridge, their next destination, where they shared with us their impressions of Albania and their first journey through the country.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is our first time here. We visited Shkod\u00ebr, and later we\u2019ll head to Theth. We follow a map for each journey, as we don\u2019t know these areas. We\u2019ve explored every region on foot, and it\u2019s taken us about a month. We started our journey from Kuk\u00ebs, then went to Valbon\u00eb,\u201d said Ida Oderlap Kranjc.<\/p>\n
She also told us their adventure continued in Montenegro.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe really enjoy this adventure. Last year, we visited Montenegro. We walked through \u017dabljak, Gusinje, and Plav. Our next destination is Theth. We\u2019re in Albania now, still at the beginning of our journey, so we don\u2019t know how it will go.\u201d<\/p>\n
Despite their age, the Slovenian couple hasn\u2019t given up their passion for traveling the world.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve visited many countries when we were younger. Now that we\u2019re a bit older, we\u2019ve taken a slower pace and we\u2019re enjoying this lifestyle. We have to admit it\u2019s not easy to travel with all this luggage, but it\u2019s worth it.\u201d<\/p>\n
We spoke less with Marjan, Ida\u2019s lifelong travel companion, who with his modest English, shared his appreciation for his experience in Shkod\u00ebr.<\/p>\n
\u201cSuper experience. I love the mountains here. The food is amazing, but the mountains are beautiful.\u201d<\/p>\n
