According to German media, the accident that occurred in Koblenz followed a family trip that ended in tragedy, with a minibus overturning and resulting in three fatalities and six injuries.<\/p>\n
Police reported that the crash happened around 3:00 a.m. in the Bassenheim area of the Mayen-Koblenz district, in the direction of Trier.<\/p>\n
The minibus, carrying nine passengers returning from a family celebration in Hesse, veered off the road and overturned several times for reasons that remain unclear.<\/p>\n
Authorities confirmed that the 22-year-old driver was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and investigations are still ongoing.<\/p>\n
Among the victims are a 53-year-old man and two women, aged 47 and 65. The six other passengers, aged between 20 and 66, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
Albania\u2019s Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs has confirmed that the victims were Albanian nationals.<\/p>\n
No other vehicles were directly involved in the crash, although another car had to pull back after being hit by debris scattered on the road.<\/p>\n
The highway was closed for over four hours and reopened in the morning.<\/p>\n
