\u201cWe need a new audiovisual law and a restructured agency,\u201d said Dritan Huqi.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe current legal base doesn\u2019t support tax incentives or the building of a film industry,\u201d added producer Sabina Kodra.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been waiting nearly a decade for this law. It\u2019s urgent,\u201d emphasized Genc P\u00ebrmeti.<\/p>\n

Veteran filmmaker Edmond Budina noted the economic potential of film funding:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe ministry shouldn\u2019t see film financing as lost money. I received \u20ac300,000 and brought in \u20ac1 million through co-productions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Others, like Edmond Topi, highlighted the absence of cinemas and distributors, making it nearly impossible for films to complete their commercial cycle.<\/p>\n

A key demand was the reform of the National Center of Cinematography (QKK), especially in how it supports national and international co-productions. Filmmakers also criticized the leadership style of the institution, arguing it should not be run as a \u201cprivate fiefdom.\u201d<\/p>\n

The QKK is currently awaiting the appointment of a new director following the dismissal of Eol \u00c7ashku.<\/p>\n
